The Common Man Restaurant, housed in a renovated red barn, serves American and New England cuisine with dishes like their lobster corn chowder served with a side of warmed cornbread. They also offer an extensive list of gluten-free menu options. Kumo Sushi boasts fresh sushi and other delectable Japanese dishes.

For standard American fare made with premium ingredients, 33 Hilltop offers burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas with gluten-free options. Le Macaron French Pastries is macaron heaven with 20 signature macaron flavors and also serves gelato and freshly made French pastries. The Windham Restaurant serves American and New England dishes like their Nantucket pie, baked with Gulf white shrimp and haddock lightly crumbed and baked in a white cream sauce casserole with a side of rice and vegetables.

When it comes to shopping, Black Moose Country Store is a charming gift and home décor shop not to be missed. Willow is a chic boutique home décor and clothing shop with fine candles, picture frames, vases, and hand-woven baskets.

Things to Do

 

Griffin Park at 101 Range Road is the city’s mecca for outdoor recreation with three baseball fields, a basketball court, walking trails, a lacrosse field, a soccer field, a playground, and a tennis court. Wonderland Park has a petting zoo and playground. Windham Town Beach is excellent for summertime swimming, and Canobie Lake Park offers amusement park rides and a water park. America’s Stonehenge is only a 15-minute drive from Windham. It is truly a sight to see, featuring a manufactured stone structure believed to have served as a ceremonial meeting place or some other formal gathering site. This structure is over 4,000 years old, and who built it or why is still somewhat of a mystery. Windham residents love visiting and showing it off to out-of-town guests.
