A-Brews sits at 1794 Bridge St, Unit 1, with kitchen hours running until 10 p.m. and a late-night menu Thursday through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sear operates out of the same 1794 Bridge Street building, with a full menu that stops at 9 p.m. The result is a rare thing for a town this size: you can start with a proper steak dinner and walk to live music without moving your car.

A-Brews is where the calendar lives. The July slate alone runs deep, with featured events across July 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22, 2026, and the Sunday rhythm continues with DJ Tuck's karaoke night at 9 p.m. on Sundays and a weekly Test It Tuesday half-off specials event starting at 3 p.m. If someone is visiting from out of town and asks what a normal Saturday looks like in Dracut, this is the honest answer.

Broadway Road is the restaurant row nobody calls a restaurant row

Herradura Vieja II deserves a longer look because it is the newest arrival with the clearest backstory. Brothers Ramon and Guillermo Bravo Meza, who own the original Herradura Vieja in Chelmsford, were not planning to open a second location until an employee mentioned a Dracut restaurant closing in a great spot. They brought in longtime friend Juan Carlos Quintana from California to invest in the venture and manage the Dracut restaurant. The name translates to "old horseshoe," a nod to the brothers' upbringing on a Mexican ranch where retired horses had their shoes removed and hung for good luck. That is a piece of context you will not get from a delivery app, and it changes the way the mariachi decor reads on a Saturday night.

Scola's is the reservation restaurant on this list. They recommend booking a table ahead of time, which matters more than usual in July when the patios fill up early. El Criollo, tucked slightly off Broadway on Pleasant Street, is the only Caribbean fusion option on the corridor and the latest to close on weekends.

The midweek move most residents skip

Weekday nights are where Dracut quietly wins. The Parker Memorial Library at 28 Arlington Street runs a rotating book club schedule that includes a Speculative Fiction Book Club on the third Wednesday of each month, covering sci-fi, fantasy, dystopian, and other fantastical works. If you have a middle-schooler burning through paperbacks or a partner who wants an evening out that does not involve a check, this is a free option that most people who have lived here for a decade have still never tried once.

The library is also where the town's civic calendar shows up in the flesh. Public information meetings, including recent sessions on the proposed Broadway Village affordable housing development, held at the Parker Memorial Library at 28 Arlington Street, run through the same building. The fundraiser calendar you should probably be on

Two things happen in July that residents tend to miss because they read like corporate events and are actually community ones.

The first is at Four Oaks Country Club, which turns into Dracut's de facto philanthropy venue every summer. The 6th Annual Jack Moran Memorial Golf Tournament runs Monday, July 27, 2026, starting at 7:30 a.m. at Four Oaks Country Club, and it is one of several tournaments the club hosts in a compressed summer window. The Alan M. Tarara Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament also runs at Four Oaks, on Monday, June 29, 2026 starting at 7:30 a.m. You do not need to be a scratch golfer to sign up. You need a foursome and a willingness to spend a morning writing a check that stays in town.

The second is at Lenzi's on Merrimack Avenue. The Merrimack Valley Food Bank's Big Night Out returns to Lenzi's at 810 Merrimack Avenue with music, food, and a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting the food bank's six hunger relief programs. This is Dracut's answer to the fancy Boston gala, held five miles from your kitchen, and it is one of the rare nights when a jacket is not out of place in this town.

The one date that matters more than any other

If you circle a single Saturday on the summer calendar, circle September 12.

The 25th Annual Dracut Old Home Day takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. It is the community's largest event.

The venue is the Daoulas School Complex at 1580 Lakeview Avenue. The lineup is a genuine reason to keep the weekend open even if you have out-of-state family visiting.

• A petting zoo and gem mining display from Carriage Shack Farm in Londonderry, NH, joining Old Home Day for the first time
• A hayride to bring families over to the Dracut Historical Society area

The event also functions as Firefighter Activity Day, and the fundraising is not decorative. Part of the funds raised each year go to non-profits, community groups, and other organizations across the town, in a tradition that dates back years. The Dracut Fire Department recently added two new rescue boats: a 16-foot One Boat rescue craft that lives at Station 3 on Nashua Road for calls on Lake Mascuppic, and a 14-foot inflatable that lives at the Jones Avenue station for the Merrimack River.
